I Refuse To Be A Footnote In The Book Of My Life

I refuse to be a footnote in the book of my life

I’m going to be the main character of my own story and I’m not going to get carried away by the what will be said or the ease. I will fight to be who I am and defend my identity, my own life and my happiness. In the book of my life, there will be chapters that will hurt me and make me cry, and others that will bring out the best in my smiles, but everything, absolutely everything, will be told through my own voice.

Even though there are people who will want to run my life with the best intentions in the world because they think I can do better and they want to keep me from suffering, I want to tell them that sometimes you have to suffer to grow. and build its own story.

There will be others who will want to become the protagonists of your book, your narrator, your voice, not because they want your good, but because they are toxic people who need to live multiple stories. by hurting others, by stealing the limelight from them in order to be able to take center stage.

These envious, gossiping, hurtful people won’t even occupy a nook in my life because even if they aspire to the lead role, they won’t even reach that of bad or bad in the story. They will have no importance and no mention. These people live off the value you give them and in my case, I’ve decided they’re not worth even a word or a gram of ink.

I will be the main character in my life, even if it hurts because those who love you accept you with your mistakes and become your lantern, your staff to help you get up. They don’t try to change you, they accept you as you are, with your past. Because it’s your story, your life.

The best chapters of the book of life are lived together

In the book of my life, the best chapters are lived together. These crazy companies, loud and sane at the same time. Those that make you smile with the craziest stories, those that really mark you, those we call friends …

Some friends are on a page, and make you smile in one of those lost paragraphs. Others occupy an entire chapter, and leave their mark on a whole era that you will always remember. But the most important are those who really are always there, in good and bad, those who accompany you throughout your life, from the moment they appear.

The most important, the best, are those who are and will be there, no matter what. You have to give them value, not waste your time with the stories of those who want to hurt you … Spend time with those who are there when you need it, those who, with a look, tell you much more than that. ‘others with their false words.

I write it down and I live it

And like in many of my books, there will be chapters underlined and full of annotations, with damaged pages because they will have been read so many times that they will begin to take on another meaning, especially when you reread them with those who support and love us.

In this book there will also be twisted lines, marked by anger and tears from those who have hurt me and taught me to live my own story. Because we all know bad people, but the essential people are the ones who teach us what is really valuable and who put the “right people” on your side, the ones who teach you what friendship means. .

So I learned that, in the book of my life, the main character is me. I write it down and I live it. Whether you like it or not. Just like I choose who I keep by my side and what I do in each paragraph. I simply refuse to be a footnote in the book of my life that I am the main character.

You have to strive for what you love, for what matters to you, for a dignified and personal life. Because being happy is difficult, and sometimes hurts, but not struggling so as not to suffer hurts even more. Being guided by those who are looking for importance just so as not to have to make decisions or out of a need to please everyone, will prevent you from writing your own story. Worse yet, others will tell it for you.

And know that the mistakes of the past no longer matter. Because the past is already written, it has brought you to this present with a future yet to be written, in which you can learn from the mistakes made in the previous chapters and choose the characters who will accompany you in the next chapter.
